DOUGLAS — Customs and Border Protection agents seized nearly 15 pounds of heroin from a man who was allegedly trying to smuggle the drugs into the United States from Mexico.
The drugs were found hidden in the engine of a Jeep Cherokee on Monday after a narcotics dog alerted officers to the possible presence of drugs.
The driver, a 57-year-old man from Tijuana, Mexico, was arrested.
