Carolyn Jean Wilder, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Jackson, Tenn., on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008.

Carolyn was born in Akron, Ohio, on Oct. 4, 1942, to Albert Raymond Norman and Thelma Ruth Bigham Norman.

She was raised in Ohio and California and moved to Bisbee in 1971 where she worked for the Ribic’s/Woolworth’s store and then worked for the Headstart School as a cook until retiring. She also delivered the Tucson Citizen newspaper to numerous families in Bisbee. Carolyn moved to Tennessee in 1994 to be near her family.

Carolyn was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being with her children and grandchildren who were the joy and light of her life. She enjoyed going on fishing trips and listening to country music. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her parents and a daughter, Kristen Blankenship, preceded Carolyn in death.

Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Wilder of Tennessee; her three daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Finn (Fredrick) of Bisbee, Kerri Peters (Bill Townsend) of Tennessee, and Kelly Jarrell (James) of Bisbee; her son, Allen Wilder II of Tennessee; two brothers, David Norman (Sharon) of Tennessee and William Bigham of Phoenix; three sisters, Shirley Keffer (LeRoy) of Pennsylvania, Kathy Logsdon (Jerry) of California and Tamara Huff of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; and she leaves behind her precious poodle, Heidi Ho.

Services will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Dugan Funeral Chapel in Bisbee. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Dugan Funeral Chapel is handling all arrangements.

    " My heart goes out to you all. I had know Carolyn for more than 30 years. She was a great person. (Made the best Chicken!) I spent alot of time at her house while growing up, and have had alot of good memories of that time. My prayers are with all of you. God Bless You All. "
